“jest” 是指為了讓人發笑而開的玩笑或說的笑話，也可以指帶有戲謔或調侃的娛樂行為。

“jest” 較“joke”正式或文學，平常口語很少用。常用於 “in jest” 指“開玩笑”。不指惡作劇或實際玩笑。
