かゆくて、皮膚をかきたくなる感覚。時々「itching」は何かを強くしたい気持ちも表します。

日常会話でも医療でも使われる。主に皮膚に対してだが、何かしたくてたまらない時にも使う（例: 'itching to try'）。よく使われる表現: 'itching sensation', 'itching all over'。
