'ironic situation'は単なる不運や偶然でなく、特に予想と逆だった時に使います。日常会話ではたまに使いすぎになることも。日本語では皮肉と皮肉っぽい発言は区別しやすいですが、英語の'sarcastic'はさらに辛辣です。
