衣服や布のしわをアイロンで伸ばすこと。また、問題や違いを解決する意味でも使われることがある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に衣類に使われる。'ironed shirt' や 'freshly ironed' のような表現がよく使われる。「ironed out」は問題を解決したときにも使う。過去に終えた動作を表すことが多い。
