कपड़ों या कपड़े पर इस्त्री करने से उसकी सिलवटें हटाना। कभी-कभार समस्याओं के हल होने के लिए भी कहा जाता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

अक्सर कपड़ों के लिए प्रयोग होता है, जैसे 'ironed shirt'। अंग्रेज़ी में कभी-कभी फ़िगरेटिव इस्तेमाल भी होता है- 'ironed out the details' (विवरण सुलझाना)।
