Poner dinero, tiempo o esfuerzo en algo para obtener un beneficio o resultado, usualmente se refiere a finanzas o compromiso.

Usualmente se usa para dinero, pero también para tiempo o compromiso emocional ('invested in a project', 'invested in a relationship'). Puede ser literal o figurado. 'Be invested in' indica estar muy involucrado o comprometido.
