人や物事を初めて他の人に伝えること、または新しい話題や物事を始めること。

フォーマル・インフォーマル両方で使われる。「introducing a friend」は友人を紹介する意味。「introducing a topic」は話題や内容の導入。'presenting'や'intruding'とは異なるので注意。
