Suele ser formal o literario. Se usa literalmente para bebidas alcohólicas y en sentido figurado para emociones fuertes ('perfume embriagador', 'belleza embriagadora', 'libertad embriagadora'). No se usa para placeres leves, solo para sensaciones intensas.
