異なる州を結ぶ高速道路、特にアメリカ国内で使われる言葉。また、複数の州に関係するものを指す場合もある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「interstate」はアメリカの州間高速道路を指すのが一般的。他国ではあまり使われない。"international"（国際的） と混同しないように。
