誰かに情報を得るため、特に警察など権威のある立場から厳しく多くの質問をすること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

警察や調査の場面で使われ、通常の「質問する」より強い表現。「interrogate a suspect」は「容疑者を尋問する」という意味。
