Una persona que traduce el idioma hablado de un idioma a otro, usualmente en tiempo real durante conversaciones, reuniones o eventos.

"Interpreter" se usa para traducción oral o de lengua de señas, no para textos escritos (eso es "translator"). Se usa comúnmente en conferencias, tribunales o hospitales. También puede referirse a programas de computadora, aunque es menos común.
