Definition

범죄를 저지르지 않은 상태 또는 순수하고 때묻지 않은 마음 상태. 아이 같은 순수함도 의미함.

'innocence를 증명하다'처럼 법적 상황에서나 '어린 시절의 innocence', 'innocence를 잃다'처럼 감정적으로 많이 쓰임. 보통 셀 수 없는 명사다.

The lawyer tried to show the man's innocence.

변호사는 그 남자의 **무죄**를 입증하려고 했다.
