事故や転倒、スポーツや暴力によって体に受ける損傷やけが。軽い切り傷から骨折のような重傷まで幅広い。

医療やスポーツ、法的な場面でよく使われます。「wound」（傷）より広く、捻挫や骨折、内部損傷も含む場合があります。例：「head injury（頭部けが）」「recover from an injury（けがから回復する）」など。
