自分を自由に表現したり、何かを行動に移したりすることをためらわせる気持ちや考え。主に恥ずかしさや他人の目を気にする時に感じる。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
複数形で使われることが多いです。「lose your inhibitions（抑制がなくなる）」や「social inhibitions（社会的抑制）」のような表現でよく出てきます。'prohibitions'（禁止）とは意味が違うので注意。
