人や動物が住んでいる場所を指す言葉です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に報告書や文学などフォーマルな場面で使われます。'densely inhabited' や 'inhabited area' などの表現によく使われ、日常会話ではあまり用いません。反対は'uninhabited'。
