'with'-এর সঙ্গে ব্যবহার হয়, যেমন 'infecting someone with a virus'। সাধারণত চিকিৎসা বা বৈজ্ঞানিক ভাষায় ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'affect'-এর সঙ্গে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না। বর্ণগত অর্থেও ব্যবহার হতে পারে, যেমন 'infecting with enthusiasm'।
