Definition

誰かや何かに対して強く、一時的で理性的でない恋愛感情や魅了される気持ち。多くはすぐに消えてしまう。

フォーマルまたはセミフォーマルな場面で使われ、一時的で衝動的な恋心を強調する言葉です。「crush」より強く、「love」ほど深くはありません。

Her teenage infatuation with the actor faded quickly.
