누군가나 무엇인가에게 매우 강하지만 대개 잠깐인 사랑이나 매력을 느끼는 상태로, 현실적이지 않을 수 있음.

주로 깊지 않고 오래가지 않는 강한 사랑의 감정에 쓰임. 'with'와 함께 자주 사용됨: 'infatuated with someone'. 오랜 사랑이나 우정에는 쓰지 않음.
