Definition

個人とは、ほかの人や物と区別して、一人の人や一つの動物・物を指します。また、「個人の〜」のように一人一人に関する意味でも使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

書き言葉やフォーマルな場面でよく使われます。会話では「人」の方が自然です。形容詞としては「individual needs」「individual difference」などの形で使われます。
