"including" in Japanese

含む含めて

Definition

全体の中に誰かや何かが含まれていることを示すときに使います。大きなグループや集合の一部の例を挙げる時によく用います。

会話や文章でよく使われます。「including ～」の後は一部の例で、すべてを列挙するわけではありません。「～含む」と「～が含まれる（included）」の使い分けに注意。

The price is $20, including tax.

価格は税込みで20ドルです（**含む** 税金）。

Everyone came to the party, including my teacher.

みんなパーティーに来ました。私の先生を**含めて**。

We studied many topics, including animals and plants.

動物や植物を**含む**多くのテーマを勉強しました。
