قطع يُجرى في الجسم أو مادة أخرى، غالبًا بأداة حادة وعادةً ما يُستخدم في الجراحة.

يُستخدم غالبًا للإشارة إلى الجروح الجراحية المتعمدة؛ لا يُستعمل للجروح العرضية. شائع في تعبيرات مثل 'عمل شق'، 'شق صغير'، 'إغلاق الشق'. مصطلح طبي رسمي.
