Definition

ごみや廃棄物を高温で焼却して灰にするための装置や施設です。主に廃棄物処理場や病院、工場などで使われます。

主に大規模施設や病院、工場などで使われる大型機械を指します。家庭用の小さな焼却器とは異なり、「火葬場（crematorium）」とは区別されます。
