準備なしでその場で何かを作ったり行ったりすること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「improvise」は音楽や演劇など創造的な場面や、予想外の事態に対応するときによく使う。中性的な表現で、必ずしも正式な発明には使わない。「have to improvise」というフレーズがよく出てくる。
