停留在空中某處，常常靠翅膀或技術幫助；也指在某地方附近不遠離地停留。

常用於昆蟲、鳥類、直升機、無人機等。有時也指滑鼠懸停在螢幕上的某物。很少形容人，除非比喻用法（如緊密關注某人）。
