人々が住む場所の総称で、家やアパートなどが含まれます。住居に関する制度や状況全体を指すこともあります。

「affordable housing」「public housing」「student housing」などの表現で使われます。全体的な住居状況を表すときは数えられません。制度や状況そのものを指すことも多いです。
