Definition
重い病気で余命が限られている人に対して、快適さと心の支えを提供する特別な施設やケアプログラム。治すことよりも本人と家族のサポートを目的としています。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主に医療や終末期ケアの場面で使われます。「ホスピタル（病院）」と混同しないよう注意。「ホスピス」は治療よりも心身のケアを重視します。
