Definition

一种非常不正式、过时的呼喊方式，用来引起他人注意，经常出现在故事中或远距离喊人。有时也用在俚语或民谣中，带有玩笑意味。

现代英语几乎不用，主要出现在古典文学、故事中，或作为怀旧、玩笑式的喊声。不可用于正式场合。常见于“Land ho!”（发现陆地）或“Heave ho!”（协力呐喊）。日常对话不能代替“hey”。

Suddenly, he called out, "Hos! Who goes there?"

突然，他大喊：“**喂**！谁在那里？”
