Definition
一大羣人或動物,常常成羣結隊地行動,有時帶有混亂或無法控制的感覺;有時用來形容近乎野蠻的人羣。
Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))
多帶有負面、戲劇化色彩,通常指威脅性大、吵雜或難以控制的人羣,如“a horde of fans”、“horde of locusts”。不適用於小型或安靜的羣體。多用單數“a horde”,但“hordes of”也常見。歷史上也指蒙古軍隊。
