一大群人或动物,常常成群结队地行动,有时带有混乱或无法控制的感觉;有时用于形容近乎野蛮的人群。
Usage Notes (Chinese (Simplified))
多带有负面、戏剧化色彩,通常指威胁性大、嘈杂或难以控制的人群,如“a horde of fans”、“horde of locusts”。不用于小型或安静的群体。常用单数“a horde”,但“hordes of”也常见。历史上也指蒙古军队。
