一种希望某事发生或是真的感觉，通常相信这可能。它也可以用作动词，表示想要或希望某事发生。

可用于正式和非正式的场合，通常与“hope for the best”（希望最好）、“have hope”（拥有希望）等搭配。不要和expect混淆，expect更有确定性。
