어떤 일이나 행사에 대해 필요 이상으로 떠들썩하거나 들뜬 분위기. 특별한 이유 없이 과장될 때도 있음.

비공식적인 상황에서 많이 쓰이며, 'all the hoopla'는 '모든 소란'처럼 사용됨. 너무 과장된 분위기를 비판하거나 무시할 때 쓴다. 'fuss', 'hype'와 비슷한 느낌.
