Definition

作為榮譽授予的，並非經過正常要求獲得。名譽頭銜或職位是為了表揚某人的成就，而不是因爲完成了傳統程序。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))

常與頭銜連用，如「honorary degree」、「honorary chairman」。表示只是表彰，無實權或正式職責。不要與「honorable」（值得尊敬的）混淆。
