Definition

とても親しい友人や仲間のこと。特に同じ地域やグループでつながりが強い人たちに対して使う、カジュアルな表現です。

フォーマルな場面では使いません。若者やヒップホップ文化などでよく使われ、「my homies」「homiesと遊ぶ」などの形が一般的です。

My homies always support me.

私の**仲間**はいつも私を応援してくれる。

I'm going to the movies with my homies.
