宿題

先生が授業のあとに家庭でやるように出す課題や作業。読書、書き取り、練習問題、プロジェクトなどが含まれる。

『宿題』は通常数えない名詞で、「宿題をする」「宿題を終わらせる」「宿題を提出する」などの言い方をする。『a homework』とは言わない。

I need to do my homework tonight.

今夜は**宿題**をしなければなりません。

The teacher gave us a lot of homework.
