구멍

Definition

땅, 벽, 옷 등 무엇인가에 생긴 비어 있는 공간이나 틈을 말합니다. 작게 둥글 수도, 크게 손상된 부분일 수도 있습니다.

주로 ‘hole’의 복수형으로, '구멍을 파다', '양말에 구멍이 나다', '총알 구멍', '구멍을 메우다' 등의 표현에서 쓰입니다. 드물게 추상적으로 사용할 때도 있습니다.

The road has many holes after the rain.
