Definition
Un hole es un espacio vacío o una abertura en algo sólido, en el suelo o en una superficie. Puede ser pequeño, como en una camisa, o grande, como en una carretera.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Se usa tanto para aberturas en objetos como para huecos en el suelo. Es muy común la estructura 'a hole in': 'a hole in my sock', 'a hole in the wall'. Para daño en tela, 'hole' suena más natural que 'opening'. También aparece en expresiones figuradas como 'in a hole' (en problemas) y 'black hole'.
