Hitching 通常指透過向過路車輛請求免費搭車來旅行（搭便車）。也可以表示將某物連接到另一物體上。

多用於“hitchhiking”表示搭便車旅行，也可用於連接、拴東西。慣用語“hitching a ride”很常見且口語。不要和“itching”（癢）混淆。
