誰にも見つからないように身を隠すこと、または物や情報を目立たない場所に置いて分からなくすること。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「is hiding」「was hiding」など進行形でよく使う。「go into hiding」は身を隠す、逃亡するという意味。秘密を隠す時も使う。
