Definition

"Hiding" का मतलब है किसी ऐसी जगह रहना जहाँ कोई आपको देख या ढूँढ न सके, या किसी चीज़ को ऐसी जगह रखना जहाँ दूसरे उसे न देखें। यह किसी व्यक्ति, जानवर या छिपाई गई जानकारी के लिए भी इस्तेमाल हो सकता है।

"hide" के रूप में यह अक्सर continuous tenses में आता है: "is hiding", "was hiding"। संज्ञा के रूप में यह रोज़मर्रा की बोलचाल में "hideout" या "place to hide" जितना आम नहीं है, लेकिन "go into hiding" और "a good hiding place" जैसे प्रयोग स्वाभाविक हैं। इसका रूपक अर्थ भी होता है, जैसे किसी राज़ को छिपाना: "He’s hiding something"।
