群れ

Definition

同じ種類の大型動物が集まって一緒に行動する集団のこと。牛や象、羊などに使われます。

主に牛や象など大きな動物に使います。小動物には使いません。「herds of cattle」「herds of elephants」など。他の動物集団には「flock」などの単語を使います。

The farmer watched his herds in the field.

農夫は畑で自分の**群れ**を見守っていた。
