Definition

有合法权利继承某人去世后财产、金钱或头衔的人。有时也泛指继承某人事业或职位的人。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Simplified))

“Heirs”主要用于法律和正式场合，和遗嘱、继承相关。单一继承人叫“sole heir”。有时也用于泛指接班人。不要与专指女性继承人的“heiress”混淆。
