Un heredero es una persona que recibirá dinero, propiedades o un título cuando alguien muere, usualmente un familiar.

Se usa tanto en contextos legales como cotidianos; 'heredero aparente' es más técnico. También puede referirse a algo no material ('heredero de una tradición'). Se pronuncia igual que 'air'.
