É usado tanto de forma intransitiva quanto transitiva: 'The cut healed' e 'This cream heals cuts'. Combinações comuns: 'heal quickly', 'heal completely', 'heal a wound' e 'heal from trauma'. Para emoções, normalmente sugere um processo gradual, não uma mudança imediata.
