Definition

見出しとは、新聞や記事の一番上にある大きな文字で書かれたタイトルで、内容の要点を端的に伝え、読み手の関心を引くものです。

主にメディアや新聞で使われ、「フロントページ見出し」とは主要なニュースのことを示します。ウェブサイトのタイトルにも使われますが、「タイトル」や「ヘッダー」とは区別されます。
