美しいが悲しかったり、不気味で心に長く残るものを表します。幽霊や怖いものを思い出させる場合にも使われます。

音楽や思い出、写真によく使われます。良い意味にも悪い意味にもなりますが、幽霊がいる場所には 'haunted' を使います。
