কিছু চলাচল বা কাজ থামানো বা আপাতত বন্ধ করা বোঝায়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

সংবাদ, আনুষ্ঠানিক বা সরকারি ভাষায় বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়—'halt production', 'bring to a halt' ইত্যাদি। 'Halt!' আদেশ হিসাবে খুব জোরালো শোনায়, সাধারণ কথোপকথনে সাধারণত 'stop' বলা হয়।
