'Hales' एक दुर्लभ या पुराना क्रिया है, जिसका अर्थ है खींचना, घसीटना या हवा अंदर लेना, आमतौर पर जोर से।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

आधुनिक अंग्रेज़ी में बहुत कम इस्तेमाल होता है, अधिकतर ऐतिहासिक या साहित्यिक पाठ में मिलता है। इसे 'hale' (स्वस्थ) से न मिलाएँ। 'hales a deep breath' जैसी अभिव्यक्ति में मिलता है।
