"hairs" in Japanese

Definition

一本一本の毛や髪。まとまった髪全体ではなく、個々の細い毛を指すときに使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「hairs」は複数の存在を強調したいときにのみ使います。髪全体ではなく、「a few hairs」や「cat hairs on my shirt」など、個別の毛を言う場合に使用します。

Examples

There are two hairs on your shirt.
