Un hábito es algo que haces de manera regular o automática, muchas veces sin pensarlo mucho. Puede ser una rutina útil o un comportamiento difícil de dejar.

Es muy común con verbos como 'have', 'develop', 'break' y 'get into': 'have a habit', 'break a habit'. Suele usarse para comportamientos personales repetidos, buenos o malos. 'Custom' se refiere más a una tradición social, mientras que 'routine' es una secuencia planeada de acciones.
