小林並木

Definition

周囲の森とは別にある、比較的小規模な木々の集まり。多くは果樹や景観のために植えられる。

「小林」は自然にできた小さめな林や、果樹などをまとめて植えた場合にも使う表現です。「森」や「林」と比べて規模が小さい印象です。「オレンジの小林」などと使います。

We had a picnic in the grove near the river.

私たちは川のそばの**小林**でピクニックをしました。
